Righteous Anger
What moves you, motivates you, what drives you crazy?
I borrow a line from a colleague “what drives you crazy makes you great” but I’m using it in a way he did not intend.
If it drives you crazy that people don’t contribute, it can spark you to step up.
If it drives you crazy when people are intolerant, you become more open.
If it drives you crazy when people are treated unfairly, you will work to achieve equity.
This righteous anger can move you to behave differently, do differently, or BE differently. Whether it becomes a practice for you, a side hustle or you create an entire business focused on that which drives you crazy, it could make you great.
If it drives you crazy when people do not support one another, you will aspire to collaborate.
If it drives you crazy when people don’t listen to each other, you will strive to communicate.
if it drives you crazy when new ideas are squashed, when people are rewarded for rigidly hanging onto the status quo, it will spur you to innovate.
Listen to the righteous anger as it is hitting some of your highest values. When we work in alignment with our highest values there is no limit on what we can achieve.
